PT Sans from Paratype (part one)

In the world of free typefaces only a few exits what can be described with the attributes: big family, legible, serious, decent design, well crafted, large language support. The guys from Paratype released in 2009 the PT Sans under an free license. In 2010 it was updated to an real open source font license. The development was funded from the Russian Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications. PT Sans is derived from their commercial PT Sans Pro family. What’s a good thing. The fonts are made by the professional type designers Alexandra Korolkova, Olga Umpeleva and Vladimir Yefimovand. You can expect a technical font quality that normally cost you real money. It’s clever marketing.
